Longshot Contests — Rules & Eligibility

Last updated: 06/19/2026 These rules govern participation in contests run on Longshot (“Contests”). They form part of, and are incorporated into, the Longshot Terms of Service and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice. Each individual Contest may also have its own posted details — entry window, format, scoring, and prize structure — and the version of these rules in effect at the time you enter a Contest is the version that applies to that entry.

1. Eligibility

To enter a Contest, you must:
  • Be located in, and a resident of, a jurisdiction where participation is lawful. Contests are not available everywhere — see Where Contests are available below.
  • Have a Longshot account created through an approved login method (a supported email or social authentication provider) with an associated wallet address.
  • Not be an employee, officer, contractor, or affiliate of Longshot or the Sponsor, or an immediate family member of one, except where expressly permitted (for example, for testing) and only where doing so gives no access to non-public Contest data and no other competitive advantage.
Longshot may suspend, restrict, terminate, or refuse participation, prize eligibility, or prize distribution for any user it reasonably believes does not meet these requirements.

Where Contests are available

Contests are not available in the United States. Contests are open only where participation is lawful. Residents of, persons located in, or persons ordinarily resident in the following jurisdictions are not eligible to participate in Contests or receive prizes: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burundi, Central African Republic, China, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Moldova, Myanmar / Burma, Nicaragua, Niger, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United States, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe — and the regions of Ontario (Canada), Crimea (Ukraine), Donetsk (Ukraine), and Luhansk (Ukraine). Longshot may add, remove, or modify this list at any time to comply with applicable laws, sanctions programs, regulatory requirements, risk-management policies, or operational considerations.

2. Your Account and Wallet

Participation is tied to your Longshot account and its associated wallet address. You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and that wallet. Longshot is not responsible for prizes that are lost, delayed, inaccessible, or unrecoverable because of user error or loss of account access.

3. How Contests Work

Longshot offers both free-to-play Contests (no entry fee) and paid Contests (with an entry fee). Where a Contest has an entry fee, the fee is shown before you enter. Once you opt in and pay any required entry fee, follow the on-screen instructions to complete your entry. Each Contest’s scoring methodology, ranking procedure, tie-breaking procedure, format, question selection, schedule, and prize structure are described in that Contest’s posted details. By entering, you agree to the rules in effect for that Contest at the time of entry.

4. Fair Play: Multiple Wallets and Anti-Sybil Policy

We recognize that users may legitimately control more than one blockchain wallet address. However, you may not create, coordinate, or operate multiple accounts, wallets, identities, or devices in order to gain an unfair advantage, increase prize eligibility, circumvent Contest restrictions, manipulate outcomes, or otherwise abuse a Contest. Longshot may use any reasonable method to detect fraudulent, coordinated, abusive, manipulative, or malicious behavior — including wallet analysis, blockchain analytics, behavioral analysis, account-relationship analysis, and other fraud-detection methods. Any participant determined by Longshot, in its sole discretion, to be engaging in Sybil activity, multi-account abuse, manipulation, fraud, or other malicious behavior may be disqualified, have prizes withheld, have entries voided, and/or have associated wallet addresses or accounts permanently blacklisted from future participation. All such determinations are final.

5. Prizes

Prizes may be awarded as platform Bonus Credits, USDC stablecoins, or other rewards announced by Longshot. Unless otherwise specified, prizes are distributed automatically to the wallet address associated with the winning Longshot account. Certain prizes, including any cash prize over $500, may be subject to manual review, verification, or approval before they are distributed. You are solely responsible for maintaining access to the account that holds your winnings.

6. Bonus Credits

Bonus Credits are awarded as prizes for certain platform activities. Currently, you can earn Bonus Credits only by placing on the prize leaderboard in eligible free-to-play Contests. How they work:
  • 1 Bonus Credit = 1 wrapped USDC.
  • Bonus Credits can be spent only on the Longshot platform, only on the prediction markets product, and cannot be withdrawn or used as entry fees for paid Contests.
  • Net winnings on Bonus Credit wagers are returned to you as regular USDC. For example: if you place a wager at 2x odds using 5 Bonus Credits, gross earnings are 10.The5BonusCreditsareburnedpermanently,andtheremaining10. The 5 Bonus Credits are burned permanently, and the remaining 5 is returned to you as USDC. That USDC can be withdrawn or re-used for new wagers.
There are currently no withdrawal or spending restrictions on USDC won from Bonus Credit wagers, though Longshot may introduce new requirements in the future.

7. Contest Administration and Error Resolution

Longshot may determine, modify, interpret, supplement, suspend, discontinue, or otherwise administer any Contest, including its scoring methodology, ranking and tie-breaking procedures, format, question selection, schedule, prize structure, entry requirements, and other mechanics, at any time, provided such actions are not prohibited by applicable law. Longshot may correct obvious clerical, computational, display, settlement, data-feed, oracle, technical, or administrative errors affecting Contest questions, outcomes, scoring, rankings, prize allocations, or results. In such cases, Longshot may recalculate scores, adjust rankings, modify prize allocations, reverse distributions, or take other actions reasonably necessary to preserve Contest integrity. All scoring determinations, outcome resolutions, rankings, tie-breaker decisions, administrative decisions, and error corrections made by Longshot are final and binding.

8. Prize Verification and Distribution

Longshot does not require identity verification in order to receive prizes. However, Longshot may request information, documentation, or verification reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility, investigate suspicious activity, comply with applicable law or sanctions requirements, resolve disputes, protect Contest integrity, or prevent fraud. Longshot may withhold, delay, reduce, deny, revoke, or recover any prize if it reasonably believes a participant has engaged in fraudulent, manipulative, deceptive, abusive, malicious, prohibited, or otherwise suspicious conduct. Any such decision is made in Longshot’s sole discretion and is final.

9. Blockchain and Technical Risks

Blockchain networks, smart contracts, wallet software, third-party infrastructure, internet services, and related technologies may experience delays, congestion, outages, forks, exploits, attacks, bugs, failures, or other disruptions. Longshot is not liable for any losses, damages, delays, inability to participate, incorrect scoring, prize-distribution failures, or other consequences arising from such events.

10. Changes to These Rules

Longshot may update these rules from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new effective date. Continued participation after changes take effect means the updated rules apply to your entries.

11. Sponsor

The sponsor of the Contests is the Longshot Protocol, a corporation organized under the laws of Panama (“Sponsor”). The Sponsor may amend, modify, suspend, terminate, or interpret these rules at any time, provided such actions are not prohibited by applicable law. Questions about a Contest?
