Markets are where you predict on a single outcome, or stack up to nine legs into one ticket. You tell us what you want and how much, market makers compete to fill it, and you get a live price back in seconds.
  • Getting a price. Longshot v1 runs on RFQ, not an orderbook. Instead of placing an order and waiting for a counterparty, you express your prediction and market makers compete to fill it. You get executable odds back instantly.
  • Combos are native. Up to [9] legs on one ticket.
  • Featured markets. Longshot may explicitly feature up to two eligible Culture or Mentions events on Home. Any empty or no-longer-eligible slot automatically falls back to live Culture and upcoming Mentions events.
  • No exit before resolution. In v1, once your order is filled there is no selling out mid-event.
  • Fees. Charged only on winning profit. See fee details.
  • Resolution. When the event ends, your ticket settles to a win or a loss and winnings hit your balance automatically.
Profit caps. The protocol applies a live cap by market category on profit beyond your returned stake. Sports and Crypto currently cap profit at 500perentry.Mentions,Culture,Politics,andcategorieswithoutaspecificoverridecapprofitat500 per entry. Mentions, Culture, Politics, and categories without a specific override cap profit at 150 per entry (a 100entryat1.01xcounts100 entry at 1.01x counts 1 against the cap). For combos, the lowest cap among the selected categories applies.

Sports on Home

Home can feature up to two different sports in a curated order. Soccer uses one selected competition. Each section uses that sport or league’s featured games, combo, and available player props. A sport’s availability controls still apply; Home placement does not enable an otherwise disabled sport.

Browsing Culture

Use the topic filters on the Open Culture list to narrow the markets you see. All is always available. Filter names and their categories are curated by Longshot, and a market can appear under more than one filter. Filters with no matching open markets are hidden. The Resolved list shows past markets without topic filters. More events load as you scroll, with a Load more control available for keyboard navigation. Opening an event shows all of its outcomes. Event cards show up to three available outcomes closest to 50%; YES and NO prices on binary cards are independent. Browsing prices refresh while cards are near the visible area and disappear when their validity expires. An unavailable price leaves the outcome disabled until a fresh offer arrives. Your ticket still requests and validates its own executable quote before submission.

Grouped outcomes

Outcomes listed together do not always have one winner. A manual event can explicitly declare that exactly one outcome in its complete list wins, or that multiple outcomes may win. A listing without this declaration leaves the relationship unspecified. The API returns this declaration as the optional source.mutually_exclusive Boolean; arbitrary source attributes do not set it. Read the event’s resolution rules; grouping alone does not establish exclusivity or guarantee that a combo is available.

Soccer player props

Soccer offers the available player goals, shots on target, shots, assists, goals + assists, fouls won, cards, and first-goalscorer markets for supported leagues. Availability varies by match. Choose one milestone per player and statistic, or one first goalscorer per match. Read each market’s rules for participation and settlement conditions.
